1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CozyTwo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. CozyTwo is a platform designed for couples to watch YouTube videos together in real-time and share intimate relationship-building activities.

2. Description of Service

CozyTwo provides the following features:

  • Synchronized YouTube video playback between partners
  • Real-time chat and messaging with image sharing
  • Daily journal entries and mood tracking
  • Daily relationship questions and prompts
  • Shared notes and wishlist management
  • Calendar and event planning
  • Accountability check-ins and goal tracking
  • Memory board for photos and moments
  • Interactive features like reactions, squeeze signals, and mood particles

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use CozyTwo, you must create an account using either email authentication (magic link) or Google OAuth. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Restrictions

You must be at least 18 years old to use CozyTwo. Each user may only link with one partner at a time. You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Account Settings. Account deletion includes a 7-day grace period during which you can log back in to cancel the deletion. After this period, all your data will be permanently deleted, including chat messages, journal entries, and any shared room data you own.

4. Partner Linking

CozyTwo is designed for one-to-one romantic partnerships. When you link with a partner:

  • A shared room is created for you and your partner
  • Both partners have access to shared content (chat, notes, calendar, etc.)
  • Partner invites expire after 48 hours
  • You may only have one partner linked at a time

When you unlink from a partner, all shared room data is permanently deleted. This includes chat history, journal entries, calendar events, and all other shared content.

5. Subscription and Payments

5.1 Free Trial and Pro Tiers

CozyTwo offers a free trial with limited features and a Pro tier with full access to partnership features. Pro subscriptions are required to link with a partner and access shared room functionality.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We offer two Pro subscription options:

  • Pro Yearly: Annual recurring subscription
  • Pro Lifetime: One-time payment for permanent access

5.3 Refunds and Cancellation

Yearly subscriptions can be canceled at any time through the Stripe billing portal. You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Note that chargebacks or disputes will result in immediate loss of Pro features.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on CozyTwo, including messages, journal entries, notes, and uploaded images. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

6.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to post content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Violates the privacy of others

6.3 YouTube Content

CozyTwo allows you to watch YouTube videos together using YouTube's official embed API. We do not host, download, or store YouTube video content. All YouTube content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and copyright policies.

7. Service Limitations

CozyTwo is provided "as is" and we make no guarantees regarding:

  • Perfect synchronization of video playback (minor delays may occur due to network conditions)
  • 100% uptime or availability
  • Compatibility with all devices or browsers
  • Real-time message delivery (network conditions may cause delays)

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any commercial or business purpose without authorization
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Circumvent any security measures or access controls
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Intellectual Property

The CozyTwo name, logo, and all related graphics, software, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without written permission.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may also terminate or modify the Service at any time without notice.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
